Renowned cricketer, Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar will now be the brand ambassador of the state government's 'Clean Mouth Campaign'. Medical Education Minister Girish Mahajan said that Tendulkar has given his consent and an MoU will be signed with him.
Sachin Tendulkar has agreed to be appointed as the 'Smile Ambassador' of the campaign for the next five years. The MoU signing event will be held on 30 May 2023 for the 'Clean Mouth Campaign' in the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Sachin Tendulkar and the Medical Education and Medical Department. Since Sachin Tendulkar has accepted the ambassadorship of this campaign, he is sure that this campaign will spread far and wide and get a good response, Mahajan expressed.
In order to control the increasing oral diseases in the state, the state government has launched the 'Maharashtra Oral Health Campaign' ie 'Clean Mouth Campaign' from this year to implement the action plans regarding oral health recommended under the National Oral Health Program. This campaign has been started by the state government from January 2023.
