The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced that its online services will be closed from June 11 to June 28 due to a scheduled upgrade of the SAP (systems, applications and products) software.

This means that citizens will be unable to access the civic portal for processing payments or carrying out transactions including the issuance of purchase orders or transactions related to citizens services.

The BMC clarified that services that aren’t part of SAP such as water bill, property tax payments, as well as building plan approvals will be accessible on other sites.

Elaborating further on the closure of some online services, the BMC said it is migrating to another version of the SAP along with a new cloud services contract that has a downtime of around 15 days. The systems will be down from 8 PM on June 11 until 8 AM on the 28th of June.

Citizens can avail property tax payment facility through the https://ptaxportal.mcgm.gov.in portal during the downtime while water bills can be paid on https://aquaptax.mcgm.gov.in. Citizens can use https://autodcr.mcgm.gov.in to access the building plan approval system.

With the BMC planning to switch to the eProcurement System used by the Maharashtra Government, tendering processes in all departments will carry on.
