The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) open up the recruitment of 1388 posts for Class IV employees, in which, they have reserved 30 per cent seats for women i.e. 416 seats. 28 seats are reserved for earthquake survivors and 69 seats for project affected people (PAP).
While filling up the online form, one does not have to submit educational certificates but only has to scan candidate’s personal details, their photographs and signature. One will need to submit their original and photocopy of educational certificates and other documents in person before joining in.

2. After visiting the website, click on ‘Labour Recruitment 2017’ link
3. Scan and submit 4.5 cm X 3.5 cm size photographs and signature
4. After filling up form and paying up, candidate will get application number
1. Candidate should keep the print of online application form with themselves
2. Hall ticket information, examination center details will be displayed on BMC’s http://portal.mcgm.gov.in website
3. Candidate should fill in correct email-id and address details along with pin code
4. If candidates fail to fill up correct details, his application will be rejected
5. Ineligible candidates will not get their recruitment process charges
6. BMC will not approve forms via post or any other medium
7. Candidate will be declared ineligible if he tries to put pressure on concerned BMC officials or take help of imposter
Meanwhile, highly educated candidates will not get to choose posts or in near future, he will not get a transfer.

The BMC has also urged candidates to stay away from mediators or imposters who will try and recruit through illegal ways. The procedure is transparent and civic body will not allow anyone's interference.
Candidates belonging to the open category will have to pay INR 800 while candidates belonging to a backward class category will have to pay INR 400. The BMC has also cleared that former soldiers do not have to pay examination fees. One will be able to pay examination fees through net banking, credit card or debit card.
