In a welcoming news, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has withdrawn the 15 per cent cut in mumbai is being withdrawn from today, March 6. This decision of the Municipal Corporation Administration has brought great relief to the citizens.

All three power transformers and 20 pumps at Pise pumping station in Thane district had become fully functional, said BMC in a release.

The water cut was announced after a fire broke out in the transformer of BMC's Pise pumping station on February 26. The system affected by the fire has now been restored. At present three transformers have become operational.

The third transformer under trial for repairs was also commissioned recently. On this basis, five pumps have been started. But now all the 20 pumps at the Pais center are working. Based on that, water supply has been regularised. Besides, Panjrapur Water Purification Center as well as Pise Udanchan Center have also been made operational at full capacity. With the water purification plant becoming operational, water cuts in the city have been withdrawn.
