Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) recently razed down 11 eateries after they were found out to be unauthorised. The restaurants and cafes at Andheri (West) such as Independent Beverages, Space Bar, Little Door, Kaleido, Brewbot, Autumn, Glocal Junction, Be Desi and Beyond Bar etc. were hammered by BMC.
The unauthorised restaurants were brought down under the supervision of Zone-4 Deputy Commissioner Kiran Achrekar. BMC’s West Department Assistant Commissioner Prashant Gaikwad stated that the 11 eateries were brought down after they were found to have been constructed illegally.
The western section of the Municipal Corporation includes the areas of Juhu, Jogeshwari (W), Andheri (W), Vile Parle (W), Juhu Beach, Oshiwara, Versova and Versova Beach. BMC had decided to take action against the unauthorised restaurants in the departments.
