BMC razes illegal constructions in Jogeshwari, Govandi

The BMC sleuths razed an encroachment of ‘Café Heaven’ hotel in Andheri on Friday. The civic authorities had issued a notice to this hotel a few days back and finally the encroachment on 300-400 square feet was demolished on Friday, informed Prashant Gaikwad, assistant municipal commissioner of K-West ward.

According to information, illegal construction was carried out in an open area in Link Plaza building on Juhu-Goregaon Link Road in Jogeshwari West. Another building in the same area had four shops illegally built. The civic authorised razed these constructions with the help of JCB machine and 1 dumper in police security.
In another such case, civic officers also razed 77 shanties in Rafi Nagar area near Durga Seva Sangh in Shivaji Nagar, Govandi on Friday. The extension work of sewage lines was affected due to these huts and hence the action was carried out after due administrative care under the guidance of assistant municipal commissioner Bharat Marathe, informed Shriniwas Kilje, assistant municipal commissioner of M-East ward.
