BMC Floats 26 Crore Tenders To Renovate Parks & Playgrounds Across Mumbai

These include Masaheb Meenatai Thackeray playground in Malad (East), Sahitya Samrat Annabhau Sathe Udyan in Akarli village in Kandivali (East), Maheshwari Udyan in Matunga, as well as Dadasaheb Phalke Udyan and Nare Park Ground in Parel.

Many parks and playgrounds in Mumbai are set to be transformed soon. These include Masaheb Meenatai Thackeray playground in Malad (East), Sahitya Samrat Annabhau Sathe Udyan in Akarli village in Kandivali (East), Maheshwari Udyan in Matunga, as well as Dadasaheb Phalke Udyan and Nare Park Ground in Parel. The BMC has floated tenders worth INR 26 crore for these projects.

The renovation work of Masaheb Meenatai Thackeray playground is planned to be completed in 11 months. The estimated cost of this work is INR 4.22 crore. Similarly, the upgradation work of Sahitya Samrat Annabhau Sathe Udyan is also targeted to be completed in 11 months.

An estimated cost of INR 14.78 crore is expected for this. An estimated cost of INR 3.99 crore will be spent on the renovation of Maheshwari Udyan in Matunga. This work will also be completed in the next 11 months.

Apart from this, BMC has also planned to undertake high-quality development works at Dadasaheb Phalke Udyan and Nare Park in Parel.
