Brihanmumbai Municipal Cooperation (BMC) will recruit 247 sub-engineers through the process of online examination and the application form for the vacant posts will be available online.
The BMC requires Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical engineers. The process will be started in the next ten days, if the standing committee approves the proposal on Wednesday.
Municipal Corporation has appointed Institute of Banking Partial Selection (IBPS) to handle the recruitment process for the post of sub-engineers from open and backward sections of the society. Candidates will be asked to submit online application along with their category wise merit list in accordance with the criteria provided by BMC.
Earlier in 2013-2014 and 2015-2016, the IBPS selected the candidates to be recruited for the vacant posts of engineers. This year also the responsibility has been entrusted to this organisation and the IBPS will be provided with ₹350 per candidate.
Municipal Corporation’s Engineering Department explained that candidates applying for the recruitment will be charged with the examination fee: ₹300 if the candidate belongs to the backward class or caste, and ₹600 for the candidate from open category.
Candidates can apply for the mentioned positions –
Sub-Engineer (Civil): 180 seats.
Sub-Engineer (Mechanical and Electrical): 63 seats.
