After shutting down the dumping ground at Mahim-Dharavi, the State Government is planning to build a natural park on the same spot. On the same lines, BMC is considering making a natural Ayurvedic garden and on behalf of the garden department, it has been clarified that any proposal will be prepared only after analysing the land.

In the garden, rare Ayurvedic herbal and various nurseries could be seen. Ayurvedic and aromatic plants have been planted in most of the BMC gardens and school students have visited these parks as a part of their educational field trip.

Looking at the large area in the city and suburbs, this garden will be prepared by planting Ayurvedic plants. Also, functional gardens will have ayurvedic flora introduced according to Park Department's Superintendent, Jitendra Pardeshi.

MNS corporator Datta Narvankar, asked the BMC to consider the proposal to make a natural garden.
