The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a notice to Yash Raj Studio for carrying out illegal construction within the premises. Along with this, they have also issued notice for using the parking zone for commercial purpose.
A few months ago, fire gutted Kanjurmarg’s Cine Vista Studio claiming one life and property loss. After this incident, the BMC became active and started checking all film studios across Mumbai to look out for illegal alterations.
During one such check-up, the civic body officials came across an illegal construction within the premises of Yash Raj Studio, situated near Andheri link road.
The BMC officials have given a period of one month to Yash Raj Studio officials, to demolish illegal construction. They have also been told that if they fail to carry out the demolition, then the BMC officials will take strict action against the studio.
