BMC spends 180 cr on consultants

Mumbai - BMC exhausted Rs. 180 crores to hire consultants for the sewerage project. This was exposed by the RTI activist Anil Galgali who revealed that BMC hired four companies namely M. McDonald pvt Ltd, M. R V Anderson and Associate, M. Mont McDonald Ltd and M. PHE Consulate to consult the sewerage project. BMC gave Rs. 141.77 crores to the companies while Rs. 38.23 cr is due. According to Anil Galgali, BMC has high level officers and engineers, still they hired the consultants. Instead they should appoint officials concerned for the same.
