On Friday, civic officials demolished the illegal hutments which were built on the Tansa pipeline at Chembur’s Sahakar Nagar. Almost 50-60 slums were demolished in the demolition drive conducted by M ward civic officials.
Tansa pipeline repair work which was stalled for many years now was started again. And so civic officials started demolishing hutments from the Tansa pipeline. Till now, 3,000 to 4,000 hutments have been demolished by the civic officials. The remaining were demolished on Friday under the police security.
