For the last few months, the examination results of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)’s Class IV jobs have been delayed and the applicants have been upset about the delay. However, the municipal corporation recently announced that the results of 1388 Class VI jobs examinations will be declared by October 15.

BMC had invited interested people to make online applications for the recruitment of 1388 posts like Room Attendant, Worker, Labourer, Porter, Maid and Crematorium Workers. There were more than 2.87 lakh applications for the jobs amongst which, 1.61 lakh applicants managed to pass the examination. An applicant scoring more than 50 marks in the examination was considered to have passed the examination.

However, due to questions being raised in the legislature about the recruitment, the state government had ordered a stay on the process. Eventually, the stay was lifted and the municipal corporation appointed the institution MahaOnline and instructed the successful applicants to continue the further procedure through the institution.

The authorities assured that the decision for the recruitment process will be finalised by October 15.
