Building collapse in Bhendi Bazaar Update: 34 people dead, 17 Injured

34 People dead and 17 injured after a residential building collapsed in Bhendi Bazar Yesterday.

A five-storey Hussainiwala, a residential building, collapsed in Bhendi Bazar area on Thursday, around 8:40 am, leaving 10 people dead. Civic officials are fearing that about 25-30 people are trapped under the rubble. So far, 21 people have been rescued and have been sent to J J Hospital for treatment. 10 fire brigade teams have reached the site and rescue operation is on. While rescuing people who are trapped under the rubble, three fire brigade personnel got injured.


 

 

Disaster management cell received a call at 8.40am and fire brigade personnel immediately rushed to the site to rescue the trapped people. A 43- member team of National Disaster Response Force is conducting rescue operations to rescue roughly trapped people. It seems that the torrential rains might have done the damage.
