After being ignored by the administration, people residing near Charni Road Station have chosen social media as a platform to express their anger against the establishment and talk about the problems that they are facing.
For many days, the surroundings of the railway station have been quite dirty and people nearby had complaints about the same. However, no action or response has been recorded from the concerned authorities.
On a daily basis, a huge amount of people commute to Girgaum area near Charni Road Station for work. General complaint regarding the same is that people defecate on the pedestrian sidewalk which leads to foul smell all around.
After failing to get a response from the administration, a woman complained about the same to a local group called ‘Aamhi Girgaonkar’. Members of the groups photographed the place and uploaded the pictures on social media which went viral.
With these photos, we have tried to make the administration accountable," Aamhi Girgaonkar chief Gaurav Sagvekar.
