Mumbai - Municipal commissioner Ajoy Mehta has accepted that the condition of footpaths in the city is really bad. He said that he cannot ask parents to walk on city footpaths even though they want to. Taking the civic chief’s acceptance of the fact seriously, Mumbai Live conducted a reality check. We saw some footpaths turned to garbage dumping spaces while some were seen encroached by parked vehicles. Though Mehta fears for his parents, he needs to understand that the condition of footpaths is really bad in the city. Leave senior citizens, even hale and hearty also find it difficult to walk on these footpaths. Mumbai Live will carry out another reality check to see whether Mehta keeps his assurance of repairing of these footpaths.
