The Rotaract Club of Dombivali Suncity carried out a cleanliness programme at Versova beach on Sunday as part of the preparations for World Environment Day on Monday. They were joined by Afroz Shah, who has been cleaning Versova beach for the past two years. On Sunday, various institutions joined Afroz Shah to clean up the beach, amongst which Rotaract Club of Dombivali Suncity was one. (Also read -Versova Beach Shines After An 85 Week Clean Up Drive)
Along with this, students and residents from Thane and Navi Mumbai had come down to Versova for the cleanup drive. “I started this work two years back and I am doing it selflessly. I don't call anyone to help me. Anybody can join me,” said Afroz Shah.
This Environment Day, let's pledge to keep our environment safe and clean.
