For Metro 12 route

A car shed was proposed on a private plot in Pisarve, Navi Mumbai. It is privately owned. As the process of taking possession of the site is time-consuming and requires a lot of funds, MMRDA has sought a new site for the carshed. Accordingly, approximately 45 hectares of land has been found and taken over at Nilje-Niljepada. This is the first metro line to deal with the issue of car shed even before the work of the metro line started. Meanwhile, tenders were submitted by three companies namely Gawar Construction Limited, J. Kumar Infraproject Limited and Welspun Enterprises Limited. Gawar Construction Limited has won it. The contract has been given to this company and now the actual work of this route is starting.
