Coronavirus cases in the state have been increasing rapidly, however, the state once again witnessed a rise in the number of discharged patients. This figure was more than the newly diagnosed patients in the state, and the pattern has been observed over the last few days.
Data released by the state health department showed that a total of 19,592 patients were discharged from the state, whereas 17,794 new patients were diagnosed in one day. The total number of treated patients has reached over 9.92 lakhs and the recovery rate in the state stands at 76.33 per cent.
Meanwhile, with the addition of new cases, Maharashtra now has 13,00,757 cases. The state reported 416 deaths on September 25, 2020, taking the total to 34,761 with a case fatality rate of 2.67 per cent. At present, over 2.72 cases are active and patients are undergoing treatment across several COVID19 hospitals in the state, informed Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
A total of 62,80,788 laboratory samples have been screened in Maharashtra, out of which 20.71 per cent have been tested positive until September 25, 2020. Meanwhile, over 19.29 lakh people are under home quarantine and 32,747 people are in institutional quarantine.
