Mumbai logs 998 new COVID-19 cases and 23 deaths in a day

On Sunday, 865 people have overcome the coronavirus and a total of 2,36,522 patients infected with the coronavirus have succeeded in overcoming the virus.

As the numbers of coronavirus are increasing day by day, 110 people died in the state on Sunday. However, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has succeeded to get the outbreak under some control. On Sunday, 998 new cases were found while 23 succumbed to this disease in Mumbai. Mumbai ranks second among coronavirus cases in the state.

The state has succeeded in getting a recovery rate to control the rising death of coronavirus. At present, coronary heart disease recovery has risen to 91 per cent of the total death toll on Wednesday. In the last 24 hours, 23 corona patients have died in Mumbai. On October 615 deaths were reported. Earlier, on October 8, a total of 25 people fell victim to the disease, according to the BMC. Besides, 998 new coronavirus patients have been found in Mumbai. The total number of patients in Mumbai has now reached 2,64,543. On Sunday, 865 people have overcome the coronavirus and a total of 2,36,522 patients have succeeded in overcoming the coronavirus. Therefore, Mumbaikars are relieved.

The State health department has assured that at present, there is sufficient stock of this medicine in Maharashtra and there will be no shortage. The Department of Food and Drug Administration controls the sale, distribution and stockpiling of these drugs and the black market. Information on the availability, use and balance of the drug Remedesivir Injection is available in each district and is being monitored by the administration. Distribution of this medicine is allowed only to hospitals and institutions.

Till date, the administration has taken action in some cases of confiscation and raids and crimes have been registered against those involved. The accused have been arrested by the police. The administration has set up a 24X7 control room at the Food and Drug Administration headquarters. Its number is 022-26592364 and a toll-free number is 1800 222 365. However, if any patient is not getting Remedesivir injection or the drug is being black marketed they can contact the concerned Food and Drug Administration District Office or the control room number to help in getting the drug and if any black market complaint is received, appropriate action will be taken. The Joint Commissioner Minister has informed through a letter.
