Mumbai - BMC elections are round the corner. Mobiles phone service allowed to corporators was about to discontinue since 20th December, but it was on till 23 rd December. from 23rd December afternoon the service is discontinued. From 2012 BMC was paying the bills of mobile numbers given to 227 corporators. Later they were told to pay their bills on their own after 20th December, But now without prior intimation, the service of corporators' sim cards is discontinued. Media and other concerned people don't have our personal contact numbers. So, how can we be connected, asks Ward 218 corporator, Sampat Thakur. BMC had given laptops to corporators which are to be returned as well. But still, none of the corporators has returned it .
