On Wednesday morning, a mishap transpired near Dadar TT, wherein the injury toll has now surged to ten people, reported the Times of India. The BEST bus that was speeding, rammed into a dumper.

According to the account, BEST committee members stated that this mishap speaks to the need to instruct bus drivers to drive safely.

Four were grievously hurt, that comprised Rajendra Kale a 52-year-old bus driver, as well as, Kashiram Dhuri the 57-year-old conductor. Four others too that entailed two teenagers who were aged 16 and 17, suffered minor injuries.

The report quoted Manoj Varade, the BEST spokesperson who elaborated on how two additional passengers sustained minor injuries but decided to leave the spot without undergoing treatment.

Whilst the injured were taken to Sion Hospital, according to a BEST official, the driver had either lost control or was speeding. Several videos of the accident occurring have been doing the rounds on social media too.

It is believed that the dumper stopped at a signal near Khodadad Circle, while some vehicles comprising the BEST bus broke the signal. The Tejaswani bus allegedly came at a speed from the back and rammed into the dumper.

The said bus was plying travellers on route number 22 from Marol to Pydhonie, wherein the accident happened at Dadar.
