Double gas leak reported in Prabhadevi, locals shaken by the incident

According to reports, the gas pipeline was damaged near Shree Sai Vismay, Kaka Saheb Gadgil Marg, Dadar (W) around 1 pm. Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL)'s team reached the site and gas supply in the vicinity was temporarily stopped.

On Sunday morning, December 13, a gas leakage was reported at Khed Galli in the Prabhadevi area of Mumbai. As soon as the locals found about the leak, they informed the cops. However, the fire brigade personnel reached the spot immediately.

Meanwhile, on the same day, due to the complaints of gas leak at Prabhadevi, the fire brigade rushed to the site twice.

According to reports, the gas pipeline was damaged near Shree Sai Vismay, Kaka Saheb Gadgil Marg, Dadar (W) around 1 pm. Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL)'s team reached the site and gas supply in the vicinity was temporarily stopped. Rectification work was soon finished and gas supply was also restored.

Moreover, as a precautionary measure, police had cordoned off the locality during the inspection.

A local resident said that a gas pipe leaked had in the morning but they got to know after the smoke emanated from the garbage bin in the afternoon. Soon they dialed to the police on 100 and soon they began the rescue operation.

However, late evening, there was another complaint from the area. Fire engines were again rushed to the site. MGL sources said their engineer was at the site. Though, the reason of the leak remains to be unknown.
