Bombay Hospital's renowned gastroenterologist Dr. Amrapurkar goes missing

Heavy rainfall caused havoc on Tuesday when the city came to a standstill. At first, locals were stranded as tracks got submerged under water. Then, there was heavy traffic as roads became to flood. Mumbaikars were left with no option but to walk.

Likewise, Bombay Hospital's renowned gastroenterologist Dr. Deepak Amrapurkar left the hospital around 4:30 pm. He had parked his car near India Bulls tower, Lower Parel. He and his driver left but when they reached near Deepak Talkies of Elphinstone area, the car got stuck in traffic due to water logging. He then asked his driver to drive the car home and he got down from the car. He called his wife around 6:30 pm and told her that he was walking it back home but he never made it. Some people witnessed him fall into a manhole as police found his umbrella in the vicinity, informed Dr Anil Sharma of Bombay Hospital.

It is been 18 hours, police have set up a team to look out for Dr. Amrapurkar but have not succeeded so far. They have been checking all hospitals but have received no information.
