Until a few days ago, police officials used to work from four small containers in Vikhroli. However, when senior police officials did an extensive follow-up of owning a police station with the state government, policemen handling the Vikhroli beat received a new police station in the form of a four-storey building. On Sunday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the same.

The new four-storey building contains more than 40 desktops, fire extinguisher system, Wi-Fi service, pantry, and large parking ground. This is considered as Mumbai’s first tech-savvy police station. The four-storey building was constructed in the span of 10 months on 12,500 square feet area.
