An Energy Park and Information Centre is set to be constructed in Mumbai’s Dahisar, highlighted reports. The project will provide detailed information, not only to the western suburbs but to all Mumbaikars about electricity generation and how to use it. This will be an innovative energy project, not only in India but also in the world.

The project will be implemented under the guidance of Shiv Sena Deputy Leader, MHADA President Dr Vinod Ghosalkar and Tejaswi Ghosalkar, a local corporator of the ward. It is noteworthy that the corporation will not spend even a single rupee on this project, said Abhishek Ghosalkar, former councillor of Shiv Sena and Director of Mumbai District Central Co-operative Bank Limited.

The project has been approved by Environment and Tourism Minister Aaditya Thackeray. Abhishek Ghosalkar, Adani CEO Kandrap Patel and Kapil Sharma, General Manager Deepti Padwal and Janardan Mane of Municipal Horticulture Department were present on the occasion. Praising the proposed Energy Park and Information Centre to be set up at Shaheed Tukaram Omble Park in Dahisar (W), Minister Aadtiya Thackeray gave prompt approval to the project and suggested setting up of an Energy Park and Information Centre at the earliest for the public service.

Under the CSR initiative of Adani Electricity, an estimated Rs 15 cr will be spent on this project and the citizens visiting the park will be given comprehensive information about electricity generation as well as its use. The Energy Park will provide school, college as well as university students and visitors with information about various types of power generation transmission and precautionary measures.

The special thing about this place is that electricity will be generated from the people who come here through walking, cycling etc on the floor built there. It will also showcase thermal, electrical, hydro, biogas, nuclear, geothermal, wind and solar power plants. Additionally, coporator Tejaswi Ghosalkar said that citizens will be provided with detailed information about energy and its conservation and various mantras of energy.
