An aggregate of five people had wadded into the sea at the jetty in Versova on Sunday for the immersion activities . Whilst two of them were saved by the local police, the remaining three were swept away.

On early Tuesday morning, the body of a man who was 21 years old that was swoon away along with those of two others at the Versova jetty in the Arabian sea, was recovered highlighted reports. This unfortunate incident transpired after the Ganpati immersions in Mumbai’s Versova beach on Sunday.

After over 32 hours of the incident, Vijay Patil’s body was recovered from the sea at Versova. According to officials, reports elucidate that at Juhu’s Cooper Hospital, doctors declared Patil as brought dead.

The bodies of two other youngsters who also swooned, away with Patil, were recovered on Monday. An official mentioned, based on narratives that the age of the deceased persons was 18 and 20 years respectively.

Lord Ganesha and Goddess Gauri’s idols were immersed across multiple water bodies throughout the island city and the rest of the state on Sunday which was the last day of the 10-day festivities celebrated in Maharashtra

In other developments, reports state that there was an increase in the immersions of Ganesh idols, comparing to last year.
