Dharavi- it is believed that the most awaited flyover between Sion - Bandra link road and Sant Rohidas Marg junction will be built shortly. This project was pending since past 2-3 years. But now under metro project the flyover plan is reviewed and a new contractor is appointed. Along with this repairing of 3 flyovers and work of flyover on Ghatkopar-Mankhurd joint road will also start, said the chairman of standing committee Yashodhar Phanse. After the bridge over Sion - Bandra link road and Sant Rohidas Marg junction got into a dilapidated state, this project was undertaken in 2013.But it was stopped in between as it posed a hindrance to Mumbai metro 3, according to Mumbai metro rail corporation . So BMC prepared a new plan of this flyover sans metro 3 route. This called for additional RS 10 crore which were deposited by Mumbai Metro rail corporation .Since the project cost is high new contractor is appointed for this.
