According to reports, a level 4 fire broke out on Friday, November 19, at Prime Mall in Vile Parle West. Presently, the fire fighting operations are underway, with 12 fire engines at the spot, further details are awaited.

Accounts have quoted a civic official elaborating on how the fire transpired on the first floor of the mall. With no report of injury as of yet, the fire in the mall in Vile Parle broke out at nearly 11 am.

Based on narratives, this is believed to be the third incident of a major fire being reported in Mumbai this week. A report by the Times of India, stated that two people were injured in the incident. One of whom included a fireman, Mangesh Gaonkar who suffered minor injuries. The other has been identified as Mubasir Mohammed who was admitted in Cooper Hospital.


On Thursday, November 18, a garage of an automobile showroom suffered a fire in Powai. In that fire, five fire engines, as well as, water tankers, alongside firefighters, reached the spot. The primary report highlighted that no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire, as well hasn't been known yet.

On the other hand, a company’s service centre had sustained large-scale damages owing to a blaze on, Tuesday, November 16. As per accounts, the mishap transpired in the evening and no injuries were registered. However, an aggregate of 10 individuals who were stuck inside the building were promptly rescued by the locals and the police.
