On Wednesday morning reports of a cylinder blast were reported from Versova. According to people staying nearby, they could hear loud explosions and even see flames from far. The location for the incident was reported as a cylinder godown at Yari Road, Near Anjuman School. 

According to reports, as many as four people have been injured in this incident and fire fighting operations are being carried out. The people injured in the incident have been taken to Cooper Hospital.   

 It has been classified as a Level 2 fire that broke out around 10.06 am. Currently, eight fire engines and seven jumbo water tankers are engaged in dousing the fire.

Earlier on Tuesday, February 9, a level two fire broke out in Versova, Mumbai. Moreover, this incident was reported in a four-storeyed building near the fish market.

According to reports, the blaze was reported at around 2:45 pm and was doused at around 3:00 pm. On the other hand, the building in which the fire was caught was reportedly opposite Shiv Sena’s building.

Meanwhile, several shops and stores have reportedly been gutted in the fire, however, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained as cooling operations are still underway.
