Fire Breaks Out at A Chemical Factory In Badlapur

As per reports, the incident happened at 11.25 am on Tuesday, November 26, at Omkar Speciality Chemical Ltd, a ground plus three-storied building situated near the Mankoli village of Badlapur.

A fire broke out at Badlapur's MIDC on Tuesday, November 26. Fire brigade officials stated that the blaze erupted at 11.25 am at Omkar Speciality Chemical Ltd, which is a ground plus three-storied building situated near the Mankoli village of Badlapur.

There were 10-12 employees present at the factory at that time and it is said 60-70 people were present in the building out of which nine have been hurt. 10 fire tenders from Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath and Thane and 15 private water tankers were used to control the blaze. 

Fire officials stated that the injured people suffered 40-50 per cent burns and were rushed to Dhanvantari Hospital in Badlapur. Owing to the condition, the doctors have referred them to the National Burn Centre Hospital in Airoli where their treatment is underway. 

Notably, the fire in this building was so severe that it set ablaze the adjacent building i.e. Shubh Laxmi Factory. However, that fire was controlled in 1 hour.
