In a recently reported incident, a level-1 fire broke out at Byculla in the evening on Saturday, November 14, 2020. As per the reports, the fire was confined to a restaurant in the suburban Byculla area located in Central Mumbai.

The incident was reported at 9 pm and the rescue teams rushed to the spot to control the situation.  Seven fire engines were sent to the location on Maulana Azad Road, and no injuries or casualties were reported. The fire was extinguished at 10 pm, and the same was confirmed by the officials from the fire brigade department. 

ANI took to Twitter to confirm the incident and stated that the fire was brought under control. Meanwhile, officials have not been able to confirm the cause of the fire yet, and the investigation is underway.

Several fire incidents have been reported from different parts of the city, in the last few weeks. A massive fire broke out during the early hours on Friday, November 13, at a power loom factory in Khoka compound in Bhiwand. Reports state that the incident was confined to a pile of clothes lying in the factory, which caught fire, and the same escalated quickly. The fire broke out in wee hours of the morning.
