According to reports, a fire broke out at Kurla Scrap Compound on Mankhurd-Ghatkopar Road in Mumbai on Tuesday morning. As per sources, around 6 in the morning, the locals witnessed a blaze of fire in the warehouse.

Subsequently, The fire was reported to the control room. After adequate information was received, several fire engines were dispatched to the spot. The fire was estimated to have taken place in a part of the warehouse at around 6 in the morning. The warehouse contained a large number of waste oil drums and junk of about 15 thousand square feet. Therefore, the fire increased after a while and reached level-3.

Several fire jets and fire engines have been dispatched on the spot of the accident to put out the fire. Simultaneously, some ambulances have been dispatched on the spot to ferry the injured. At present, 6 fire engines, 2 foam tenders, 5 jumbo tankers, 3 water tankers and several ambulances have been installed outside the warehouse. However, so far, there is no news of anyone being injured in this accident.
