On Thursday, December 16, a fire broke out at a perfume and plastic company in Shastrikar Pada, Vasai, reported news agency ANI. Four fire tenders went to the spot with no injuries being reported as of yet. Based on the account, fire fighting operations are underway.

The event transpired in Maharashtra's Palghar district. According to reports, the fire department has stated that no injuries have been reported in the incident.

They added that the fire commenced at nearly 10.30 am on Thursday in the unit located at Kaman in Vasai township, later it spread in the premises. Once the department received information, four fire tenders promptly reached the spot to put out the fire.


The fire department, based on narratives elucidated that upon the commencement of the fire, certain individuals were safely evacuated. Apart from this, the fire brigade also indulged in controlling the fire. 

Based on an account by the PTI, regional disaster management cell chief Santosh Kadam said that no casualty was reported so far. Kadam added that loud sounds, that could be of drums exploding at the site were heard.

Kadam also remarked that two fire engines of the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation rushed to the spot and efforts were still on to douse the blaze. He further stated that the cause of the fire isn't known.
