A fire broke out at the CrepDog Crew’s (CDC), Bandra in Mumbai outlet on Tuesday morning, May 7, 2024. While the reasons behind the fire are currently under investigation by the fire department, there were no injuries reported.

Unfortunately, the fire has resulted in significant damage to the store, with all of their inventory being destroyed.

At 11 am, the security guard at the store noticed a fire and quickly alerted the managers. The arrival of the police on the scene was quick.

They partially opened the store shutters, and attempts were made by store staff and law enforcement to enter. However, the thick smoke and intense heat from the fire forced them to retreat. Three fire brigade trucks arrived later.

Once inside, the firefighters initially struggled to determine where the fire started and how it spread. Some of them went to the back of the building, where there were glass fixtures that allowed for better visibility. Breaking the glass, they released the smoke, revealing that the fire originated at the right end of the store.

This took them about 3 to 3.5 hours to bring the situation under control. This incident will undoubtedly have an impact on customers and partners, and CDC and its founders are committed to assessing the damage diligently and restoring services at the earliest.

CDC is India’s biggest streetwear platform with stores in Mumbai and Delhi.
