Flights from and to Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport have been diverted/  cancelled due to the incessant rainfall and a SpiceJet Boeing 737 plane skidding off the runway. Some flights have been delayed by over 2 hours. 52 flights have been diverted and SG 152 to Delhi, SG 704 to Varanasi, UK 970 to Delhi, 6E366 to Hyderabad, G8 2603, G8 2504 to Ahmedabad and G8 141 and 371 to Goa have been cancelled. A total of 153 arrival flights and 353 departure flights were delayed.

SpiceJet SG 6237 Jaipur-Mumbai flight overshot on the runway while landing at Mumbai Airport. 2 fire engines, ambulance and other emergency vehicles were rushed to the spot. The incident happened at 12:15 AM and the passengers and crew members on board escaped unhurt and were deplaned normally. 

With the aircraft stranded on the runway, flight operations have been moved to the secondary runway. Notably, due to rains, the aircraft had skidded off by 100-150 metres.
