According to reports, today, September 17, an under-construction flyover connecting BKC main road and Santa Cruz-Chembur Link Road collapsed in Mumbai, where nearly 14 people have suffered minor injuries. 

However, it has been observed that many under-construction foot-over-bridges and flyovers crumpled in Mumbai in the past few years. 

January 30, 2020

An under-construction foot over bridge (FOB) collapsed in Mankhurd. According to reports, two people have suffered injuries but luckily, there was no loss of life. The incident took place at Bainganwadi junction near Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road.

March 15, 2019

Six people were killed and dozens were injured after a foot-overbridge near the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) railway station.

June 3, 2018 

A section of the Gokhale bridge at the Andheri station in Mumbai collapsed following hours of unabated rain. The incident took place on SV road in the city, which connects Andheri East and Andheri West station. At least five people were injured.

February 7, 2013

Three people were killed and six were injured after a portion of an under-construction Sahar elevated corridor in Andheri East near Mumbai international airport crumbled down.
