Amidst the backdrop of the approaching festivities, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Dadar Vyapari Sangh will come together to offer free valet parking services at the BMC-run Kohinoor Public Parking Lot near the Sena Bhavan at Shivaji Park for buyers, reported the Times of India.

The idea is to offer free valet service for a duration of three hours at the civic-operated parking lot that will be paid for by the trader's body. It is mentioned that the facility can accommodate 1,100 motors.

However, after three hours, the motorists will incur charges if their vehicles continue to be in the facility. The BMC is of the opinion that the idea will be made on a pilot basis in which uniformed assistants will be put at many spots from the Sena Bhavan to the NC Kelkar Marg and Senapati Bapat Marg to offer the service. The report states that the Vyapari Sangh are ready to pay the charges to evade any multiplications of vehicles on the roads that cause traffic congestion in a market that is already crowded, highlighted the account.

According to the report, the president of Dadar Vyapari Sangh, Sunil Shah elaborated that whilst the BMC has assembled the public parking facility, motorists aren’t able to benefit from it. Adding that shoppers believe that its location is in a corner, thus a driver stays in the car which results in congestion for which they have given an answer.

Kiran Dighavkar, the assistant commissioner of G-North stated that they are looking forward to commencing the service for the first time, stated the report.
