The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)’s Garden Department has been active in developing the parks and gardens in the city. In addition to that, the department has started building gardens under the flyovers and similarly, now the municipal corporation has proposed the construction of nine new gardens under several flyovers across the city.

The parks will consist of trees, seating benches, jogging tracks, children’s play area and will be surrounded by a fence. The garden will also have various attractive flowers and plants to enrich the parks’ beauty.

The construction of the park is expected to cost around ₹7.3 crore and the tender for the same has been floated. As soon as the tender is approved, BMC will approach the Standing Committee and seek its approval and later will issue a work order. With the work order being issued, the construction of the gardens is expected to be completed within three to four months.
