A four-month-old baby boy lost his life due to a pothole and negligent driving on Wednesday night around 00:00 hours. Bhoiwada police have filed a complaint against truck driver Santosh Kumar Shreesuryadin Kol (28) who rammed the bike from behind when the bike rider lost his control.

South Mumbai resident Mohammed Sheikh was riding his bike on Dr. Jagannath Shankar Sheth flyover of Dadar and was on his way to Byculla. He was accompanied by his wife Saba Sheikh, four-month-old Saad Sheikh and three-year-old girl Maaysha Sheikh.

After crossing the flyover, Sheikh lost control on his bike due to a pothole on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar road. At the same time, a truck came from behind and dashed the bike. The intensity of the accident was such that four-month-old Saad Sheikh died on the spot while Saba, Maaysha, and Sheikh suffered grave injuries. All three are now admitted at KEM Hospital in Parel.
