Mumbai's Girgaon and Juhu Chowpatty have been provided with the 'Clean Street Food Hub' title. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday inaugurated the initiative at Girgaon Chowpatty where the function for the same was held.

In order to promote the use of healthy and hygienic food, Central government recently introduced the initiative. Since the Girgaon and Juhu Chowpatty are famous spots for food hoggers in the city, the authorities conducted a study of the quality of food served and later declared it as 'Clean Street Food Hub'.

Due to the hygiene of food being served, Juhu and Girgaon Chowpatty have been declared as Clean Street Food hubs. Meanwhile, Maharashtra has become the second state in the country to introduce the title.
