Gokul slashes Milk rates by ₹2; Prices to come down from ₹44 to ₹42

The change in rates will be implemented from June 21, 2018

Mumbaikars now will be able to buy Gokul milk at affordable rates as Kolhapur District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd have slashed the Gokul milk prices by ₹2. The revised rates will be implemented from June 21, 2018, which will be applicable across the state and Mumbai.

As per the revised rates, half-litre milk which was of ₹23 now will be sold at ₹21. Likewise, as per reports, one-litre milk which was worth ₹44 now will be available at ₹42.

On a daily basis, Gokul produces 4.5 lakh litre milk. However, due to the drop in milk sales in Mumbai – which is Gokul’s major market – they decided to slash the milk rates by ₹2.
