Finally, the state government decides to make some considerate move for its employees. The state has decided to increase the dearness allowance by 7 percent for its employees. The dearness allowance was earlier 125 percent for the employees of the state government which has now gone up to 132 percent. The increase will be effective from 1st July 2016 and the rest of the amount for the 9 months of the previous year will be paid to them collectively.
All in all, a total of 16 lakh current and 6 lakh retired employees will be benefitted from this decision of the state government.
