Governor, CM flag off the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for installation in Kupwara

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde flagged off the equestrian statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Fri (20 Oct). 


The statue of Shivaji Maharaj will be presented to the Rashtriya Rifles 41 Maratha Light Infantry Regiment at Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir for installation.  


The statue has been sculpted at the instance of 'Aamhi Punekar Foundation' and 'Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Smarak Samiti'.

Minister for Cultural Affairs Sudhir Mungantiwar, Principal Secretary, Cultural Affairs Department Vikas Kharge, Trustee of 'Aamhi Punekar Foundation' Abhayraje Shirole, President Hemant Jadhav, Rajendra Khedkar and other invitees were present.
