Governor, Union Minister Bharati Pawar review progress of Tribal Welfare Schemes in Maharashtra

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais accompanied by Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Dr Bharati Pawar reviewed the implementation of various Centrally Assisted Tribal Welfare Schemes in Maharashtra at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Thu (22 Feb). A presentation on various Centrally Sponsored Tribal Welfare schemes in Maharashtra was made by Tribal Welfare Commissioner Nayana Gude.

 

The meeting reviewed the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Adi Adrasha Gram Vikas Yojana, PM Janman Mission for the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups and District Wise target of Multi Purpose Centre and Van Dhan Vikas Kendras, Tribal Student Hostels and Ashram Shalas.

The Commissioner also briefed about the Best Practices of Tribal Welfare Commissionate such as Central Kitchen scheme of feeding children nutritious food, ATAL Arogya Vahini, Super 50 scheme etc. Further TRTI Commissioner made a presentation on the Best Practices of Tribal Research and Training Institute.

 

The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs Dr Navaljit Kapoor, Secretary, Tribal Welfare Vijay Waghmare, Commissioner, Tribal Research and Training Institute Rajendra Bharud, TRIFED M D T. Roumuan Paite, MD of Shabari Adivasi Vitta Vikas Mandal Leena Bansod and other officials.
