BMC Mayor has been appointed, the battle between the political parties is over. BJP has supported Shiv Sena to reach the required mandate for forming their government. There is still one person who is awaiting results and he is Shiv Sena's candidate Surendra Bagalkar who contested from ward number - 220.
Bagalkar received as many votes as Atul Shah, BJP candidate. They both received 5946 votes. The result was declared through the lottery. Atul Shah was declared the winner and won the seat from ward number- 220. Surendra Bagalkar filed the case against Atul Shah in the court. Since the judge is on leave until 5 April, Surendra will have to wait for the final decision.
