Dharavi- In past few days, there have been frequent incidents of fire in the city.Mostly in slum areas.Real struggle begins after extinguishing the fire when these slum dwellers have to pick up threads of their life. Residents of the Premnagar slum, Dharavi are facing this struggle currently. A fire broke in Premnagar four days ago in which quite a few homes and warehouses were burnt to ashes.Though local leaders did help initially, still these residents are facing problems of making both ends meet and managing daily chores. The residents who had minor bruises in the fire have still not received proper medical aid due to lack of money. The residents of Premnagar slum are now seeking help from the government.
