This move will ensure that sewage drains do not get clogged during monsoons due to trash. The nuisance-detection squad has been ordered to collect fine from people and take their video or picture while throwing garbage. Earlier this month, Municipal Commissioner, Praveen Pardeshi had directed authorities to cut down water supply of societies if they're caught dumping trash in nullahs.

Notably, BMC had confirmed the possibility of water-logging at 180 places in Mumbai. The list consists of 180 locations, out of which, the most places are from Matunga, i.e. 15 spots. Other than that, the locations are in Malad, Bhandup, Mulund, Ghatkopar, Bandra West, Colaba, Chembur, Mankhurd, Worli and Dadar.
