According to reports, IKEA India is going to open its first-ever city store for the citizens of India in Mumbai, which would be more accessible to its customers in the city.

This comes after IKEA had earlier opened a large-format store in Navi Mumbai last year. Moreover, this new IKEA store is now going to be opened in Worli, Mumbai, located at Kamala Mills, said a statement.

In addition, officials from IKEA reportedly informed that the Worli City Store will be followed by a second city store in Mumbai. Furthermore, they added that it believes strongly in the Indian market potential and there will be further store openings in the next year.

Meanwhile, the IKEA Navi Mumbai has spread over 5 lakh sq. ft, this store is 600 metres from the Turbhe Station on the Thane-Belapur Road, and hosts nearly 7,000 home furnishing products for its consumers, and will offer customers an opportunity to test, try and purchase the globally renowned products.

However, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, IKEA Navi Mumbai will only allow a selected number of people keeping the safety aspects in mind. Customers will have to follow the rules and take the necessary precautions issued by the store, to ensure a safe shopping experience.
