A recent case of corruption of civic officials from P/North ward is exposed. Near Central Ordnance Depot in Malad (East) there is a garden reserved under BMC with city survey number 168. The garden is depicted in the same manner on the development plan map and there is no existing road from the garden cleared BMC in a question put forth by RTI. While Amit Jadhav, the engineer working in Maintenance Department stated that there is an existing road in the garden on the map.
Now the question which is surprising everyone is that if there is no road on CTS np. 168, why did civic officers construct the road in the garden? A private builder has provided the hefty amount to civic officers in order to construct the road. Who will gain the benefit out of the construction of this road?
Are the civic officers working for the builders or BMC? Engineers are constructing new roads whereas dilapidated roads in the map remain in the same state.
